The elbow on the sea
Ancona is an ancient city in the central Italy of around 100.000 inhabitants. It was funded by Greeks in 387 b.C. calling it “Ankon” (in greek = elbow) for its particular form by the adriatic sea. It’s the chief town of Marche region and has many ancient monuments and squares, wonderful beaches and country, very good food and wine. Rises by Mount Conero and its beautiful natural park. Its port is one of most important of the whole east italian coast.
